• Karyotyping Activity
  This exercise is a simulation of human karyotyping using digital images of chromosomes from actual human genetic studies. You will be arranging chromosomes into a completed karyotype, and interpreting your findings just as if you were working in a genetic analysis program at a hospital or clinic.

• Human Chromosome Ideograms - University of Washington Department of Pathology Created by David Adler, Ph.D., a complete set of human chromosome ideograms.  Can be used and altered for educational purposes.

• Genetic Science Learning Center
  At the Eccles Institute of Human Genetics - University of Utah. An excellent educational site with resources for students, parents, families, and teachers.  Includes a comprehensive curriculum for many areas of genetics.

• Glossary of Genetic Terms
  From the National Human Genome Research Institute. Includes spoken definitions.

• PBS ‘Bloodlines: Technology Hits Home’
  Originally broadcast in June 2003, this program provides a close look into what happens when medical technology outpaces the law and human dramas set the precedent for an uncertain future. Includes an overview of the program, discussion guide and a listing of related links and resources.
   
• National Coalition for Health Professional Education in Genetics
  A national effort to promote health professional education and access to information about advances in human genetics.
• MendelWeb
  An educational resource "for teachers and students interested in the origins of classical genetics, introductory data analysis, elementary plant science, and the history and literature of science". Includes Mendel's original paper and its English translation in a variety of formats.
• Blazing A Genetic Trail
  A report from the Howard Hughs Medical Institute. "Families and scientists join in seeking the flawed genes that cause disease".
• A Study of Genetics & Molecular Biology
  From the the 'Thinkquest' Library, Including biographies of influential genetic scientists, basic genetics, chromosomes & cell division, and modern issues, this is a must visit site.
